There
is nothing subtle about a slap in the face or
a terrorists bio-chemical attack. The widespread
airborne distribution of any biological or chemical
agent could, and probably would, be devastating.
The emergency services personnel in the immediate
area, such as police, firefighters and emergency
medical teams would be overwhelmed with the injured,
sick and dying.
From the time that the attack is reported to the
authorities, it will require between 12 and 72
hours or more to get emergency help into the area.
Then it may be as many as 7 days before you could
be evacuated from the area. Without a safe place
to stay, you will become another victim of the
attack.
We want to provide you with some simple and cost
effective ways to help protect yourself and your
family until you can be evacuated. We will discuss
ways to prevent airborne particles or toxins from
entering your home, things to look for in preparing
your home and safeguarding your family, and methods
to use to insure as clean a supply of air as possible
under the prevailing conditions.
Our goal is to help you be a survivor
and to help you protect your family.
